Mind-Body Skills Group, May 19
Mind-Body skills often help to transform the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual dimensions of many people. This free introductory session will present several research-based techniques, including meditation, imagery/visualization, biofeedback, drawing and
self-awareness. These skills have been used by the presenter, Ken Richter in Mind-Body groups sessions for victims of Hurricane Harvey, sponsored by the Greater Houston Partnership.
The purpose of this introductory session is to share some of these basic skills for dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression and other physical/psychological problems, and to discern if there is interest in having an ongoing group to help participants reinforce the skills.
The session will be held Saturday, May 19 at First Presbyterian Church in Sealy, 172 Selman Drive, from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM. To register or for more information please call First Presbyterian at 979-885-3993 and leave your name and phone number and we will get back to you with more information.
Using the mind and the body to work together can have a great influence on our emotional and physical health.
